Marcus McCloud

A sonnet for Space...

Rate this Entry
Mankind has seen the darkest of all nights
War is one of these to which we still yield
These horrible things, we still yearn their sights
If we do not stop this, our fate is sealed.

Yet we try to disarm, but others fight
We say "We don't want war" they say "Screw you"
We say "We want peace" they say "We want might"
We looked, there is only one avenue.

Escape, run; leave Earth for their selfish needs
For stopping war, there is no better place
That dream, of which I hope to sow the seeds
Is to leave Earth for the comfort of Space

When I'm old, I wish to say with a sigh,
Earth is hollow, yet I have touched the sky.

Cool. Just one question. Are you pro war or anti? I'm pro if for the right reason. I'm just asking. I don't want to argue about this.

All sane men are against war, but sometimes we have to fight. I will take the safety of our citizens as a good reason.
